Introducing Roberta!
Founder of Thrive Psychology Services
With over a decade of experience in the mental health sector, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through a wide range of challenges — including addiction, involvement with the criminal justice system, adoption and foster care, supported living, and private therapy. I’ve worked with clients across the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, delivering culturally responsive, evidence-based care in diverse settings.
Thrive was created with one vision in mind — to help people reach their potential and live their lives to the fullest. We offer a range of psychology services that support mental wellbeing, build resilience, and provide practical tools for lasting positive change.
Our Approach
We believe every person is unique. That’s why we tailor our services to meet your specific needs, blending psychology expertise with practical strategies. We work with individuals, families and organisations to create a supportive environment where growth, understanding, and positive change happens naturally.
Our mission is to support our clients to heal, grow, and truly thrive in every part of life.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) helps you break unhelpful patterns by exploring the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
Together, we identify negative thinking habits, challenge them, and replace them with more balanced, realistic ones. You’ll also learn practical tools to manage emotions, reduce stress, and respond differently in everyday situations.
CBT is structured, goal-focused, and designed to create long-lasting change. Our 1:1 online therapy sessions typically last 50-60 minutes.

PBS is a proactive, person-centred approach designed to improve quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern. It focuses on understanding why behaviours occur and supports individuals in learning new, positive ways to meet their needs—rather than using punishment or control.
-
Traditional behaviour management often centres around discipline or short-term fixes. PBS, on the other hand, is rooted in empathy, respect, and long-term solutions. It aims to prevent challenging behaviour by creating supportive environments and building meaningful skills.

It’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed or unsure—especially with a subject as broad as psychology. Tutoring offers a safe, supportive space to ask questions, revisit tricky topics, and rebuild self-belief. With encouragement, structure, and tailored strategies, you’ll feel more motivated and capable.

No two learners are the same. That’s why we adapt each session to match your preferred way of learning—whether that’s visual aids, discussion-based learning, real-life examples, or exam-style practice. Together, we’ll find the methods that make psychology click for you.
